Running OS/400 on a PlayStation!!! They have got to be kidding right ? Well according to this article that’s exacly what the boys in Rochester Minnesota have been doing. It kind of makes you wonder what other strange things a Minnesota winter does to your brain.

I guess this is what you can do with a big company research budget <sigh>

As I was driving along North East Road on my way up to church last night I heard this story on the PM program on ABC radio. I was so upset about what George Browning was saying that I found myself saying “No George ! You’re wrong!” at the radio. The people at the lights must have thought I was very strange. Why was I so upset ?

Open Groupware

I juast came across OpenGroupware.org whilst reading this in the register. It looks like Microsoft’s cash cow in applications software is getting thinner all the time.

After briefly looking at their site it seems that they have a stable server written in Objective C but that a few of the connectivity pieces required to get the server up and running have a licence charge associated. No doubt this will change as the project matures.

Saw this on Slashdot and I want one ! Seriously all I tend to do on my palm is play games, read the bible and send SMS via infra red. Seems to me like this device would be perfect for doing that :)
